I'm listening to the audiobook version because I needed something new to listen to on my commute. I'm not sure if I've ever posted about my audiobook obsession, but if ya'll aren't listening to books in addition to reading them, you're missing out. I used to get most of my reading done on the bus or train, but then I developed adult-onset car-sickness which is pretty much the worst for book lovers. But audiobooks have given me a new "reading" life. I use Audible when it's a book I'm dying to listen to right away or if it's one I will likely want to listen to again. Otherwise, I highly recommend your local library. The Chicago Public Library lends their audiobooks via Libby.
Anyway, that was a nerdy tangent. Back to this book. I'm one of those people that usually won't watch a show or movie based on a book until I've read the book first, so this is a weird change for me. But I have to say, I'm not minding it so far. The book is adding a lot of additional context to the show. I also like the actors playing Matthew and Diana, so I don't mind that I've attached their faces to the books characters as well. Anyway, I'm going to do my best not to let this new obsession interfere with my writing schedule, but no promises!
