In this series, I wanted to explore the idea of placing an extraordinary girl into an ordinary world. High school, boyfriends, annoying parental figures, but with a twist. Because this ordinary world is also hiding supernatural creatures in plain sight. So while Isabel is attending football games and school dances, she's also hanging out with vampires and fighting with werewolves. Isabel isn't trying to hide from either life, she's struggling to figure out how to live in both of them. Anyway, the first two books are done and there will be one more that follow Isabel's storyline. Shaded Falls has plenty of opportunity for additional storylines though, so that's also exciting. The books in this series are also longer than my other series. I typically write shorter stories because it's just how my mind works. But this story felt a little more complex and that's reflected in the word count. My next order of business is to revisit the Darkness and the story of Grace and William. When we last left them, an attack in the Darkness had created havoc and William was forced to make a difficult decision. Life isn't going to get easier for either of them in Book Four, Surrender to Darkness. And on that note, time to get back to writing!
